It'd take a good portion of its 25 year history to fully explain the ins and outs of its intricate and epochal span. We'll never be able to capture it all in one single showing.
Likewise the love we have for these worlds is not easily contained, and in our zeal we've prepared a live tribute to cap off this summer season. We're happy to announce an upcoming live event in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the FINAL FANTASY series! In conjunction with a similar event in Tokyo, we'll be presenting a live display of the FINAL FANTASY series Friday, August 31st from 1-9PM PT at the ACT Theatre in Seattle (700 Union Street).
Our cherished favorites from the numbered series are on display commemorating not just the released content from each title but the era and spirit in which it arrived to NA shores. Additional to this display, we present a few games and contests utilizing themes and memories from the franchise at length. Prizes to boot for the top players in our activities include fan-favorite character plushies and even a custom FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 branded PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 console!
Everyone who is now, ever has been, and is looking into this legacy series of games is invited to check out and interact with this display. Just for coming you'll receive your very own 25th Anniversary Poster featuring the talented designs of one Yoshitaka Amano known for his early work on the series and his continued contributions to the title art.
Finally as the event sunsets (7:30 PM PT) goers will be welcomed to a presentation from series regulars Yoshinori Kitase, Motomu Toryama and Isamu Kamikokuryo who will reveal new details about the direction of Lightning's (FINAL FANTASY XIII, FINAL FANTASY XIII-2) story through a special video message.

Come year end we celebrate the music of FINAL FANTASY through a special 25th Anniversary concert: Distant Worlds: THE CELEBRATION on Friday, December 7 at the Akoo Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.
Before that we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of FINAL FANTASY XI our first MMO offering in the series with a special concert September 22nd at the Zellerback Auditorium in Berkeley, California.
With our recent launch of FINAL FANTASY III on Android through Google Play, and its recent announcement for the new OUYA game console, the numbered series continues to expand to more platforms than ever before!
FINAL FANTASY VII is also relived through a new downloadable PC version.
The recently announced FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn is looking to fully redesign this exciting MMORPG. In fact, many new details surfaced at the recent Gamescom convention in Germany.
Recently launched for the Nintendo 3DS, THEATRHYTHM FINAL FANTASY continues to celebrate the music of the series through a critically acclaimed interactive experience. Additional tracks for this title are available as purchased DLC, and a demo is shortly set to release in the coming months!
FINAL FANTASY DIMENSIONS, a mobile title looking to tap into the roots of the series is also slated available later this month!
This is a big year for FINAL FANTASY, not just with the Anniversary celebration, the above titles and celebrated concerts, but also for the launch of official forums for the franchise on our North American Square Enix Members site! And that's the pinnacle jewel in this year's activities because as fans, we have you more than anyone else to thank for the success of FINAL FANTASY.
