Judas y el Mesías Negro es una película dirigida y co-escrita por Shaka King (Shrill, Random Acts of Flyness, High Maintenance, People of Earth) y Will Berson basada en la historia desarrollada por Keith Lucas, Kenneth Lucas y los propios King y Berson.

Basada en hechos reales, esta película biográfica cuenta la historia de William "Bill" O'Neal, un delincuente experto en robar coches que, tras ser detenido, el FBI le propone infiltrarse en el partido de los "Panteras Negras" y pararle los pies a su líder Fred Hampton a cambio de ser absuelto por todos sus delitos.
