El tiempo pasa volando. Nadie imaginaría que ya ha llegado la hora de que los premios Eisner contrataquen, pero así es. Tras una interesante celebración en 2013 de losEisner Awards en la San Diego Comic-Con, nos llega un año más la lista de autores y títulos que competirán por estos premios en verano de este año.
Sin embargo, los 2014 Eisner Awards, se muestran en esta ocasión bastante hetereogeneos. Aunque algunas obras que ya participaron el pasado año, repiten, lo hacen en nuevas categorías. Al igual que sus creativos, los cuales retornan a esta nueva edición también como nominados.
Los casos más llamativos son los de los dos grandes ganadores de la pasada edición: Ojo de Halcón y el Saga. Ojo de Halcón, por su parte, es candidata a Best Continuing Series (Mejor Serie Abierta); mientras que su guionista, Matt Fraction, y su dibujante, el español David Aja, han sido nominados Best Writer (Mejor Guionista) y Best Penciller/Inker y Best Cover Artist (Mejor Dibujante/ Entintador y Mejor Artista de Portadas), respectivamente.
Mientras, su directa rival, Saga, compite también al Best Continuing Series. Además tanto Brian K. Vaughan, el guionista, como su dibujante, Fiona Staples, se presentan a los premios de Best Writer y al Best Painter and Cover Artist. Por ello, parece que la lucha volvería a estar reñida una vez más entre estos dos grandes, de no ser por que The Wake de Scott Snyder y Sean Murphy también compite para el Best Limited Series (Mejor Serie Limitada) y los respectivos premios de Mejor Guionista y Mejor Dibujante.
Otra curiosidad importante es la inclusión en estos premios de Jeffrey Brown, cuyas obras Darth Vader y su Princesita y Star Wars: Jedi Academy han sido nominadas a los Best Humor Publication (Mejor Obra de Humor) y Best Publication for Kids /ages 8-12 (Mejor Obra para niños/ edades 8-12), cada una.
No obstante, como la lista es bastante larga, aquí os dejamos un listado con algunas de las categorías más importantes, por si queréis echar un ojo a los nombres que sonarán este año como los grandes del cómic.
