Ubisoft cierra los servidores online de 90 juegos de la era PS3, Xbox 360 y Wii U

Ubisoft ha confirmado que los servicios online y servidores multijugador de 91 juegos han sido cerrados. La mayoría son títulos de las consolas PS3, Xbox 360 y Wii U, en los que ya no se puede jugar multijugador y acceder a los DLC.

Lo cierto es que muchos de estos juegos ya fueron cerrados tiempo atrás o incluso hace años, según comentan algunos usuarios en foros como Resetera. 

Pero ha habido cierta confusión estos últimos días, cuando los usuarios se han quejado del cierre sin anunciar de servidores de algunos juegos, incluyendo entregas antiguas de Assassin's Creed, con mensajes contradictorios por parte de Ubisoft.

En Twitter, confirmaron que los servidores de estos juegos habían sido desconectados para siempre. Sin embargo, en un comunicado a True Achievements dijeron que el cierre de servidores de juegos como Anno 2070, Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed III, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, Driver San Francisco, Far Cry 3, Silent Hunter 5 y Splinter Cell Blacklist se debió a un mantenimiento temporal.

Esta entrada desde la página web de Ubisoft, sin embargo, sí confirma que todos estos juegos ya han dejado de recibir soporte online, y por lo tanto ya no podremos jugar online (sí offline).

Ubisoft confirma que estos juegos, en las plataformas mencionadas, ya no tienen multijugador online. También desaparecen las estadísticas del jugador, las Units y Desafíos de Ubisoft Connect, y no podrás desactivar los mapas y aspectos desbloqueables (ULC).

Hace un año, también confirmaron el cierre de varios de los servidores de juegos en consolas "legacy", incluyendo Assassin's Creed 2. Es ley de vida, pero muchos usuarios lamentan que Ubisoft no anunciara con antelación el cierre de algunos de estos juegos.
